Draft State Strategy for Civic Equality and Integration (2021-2026)
The Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, with the support of UNAG and #USAID’s #PITA program, presented a draft State Strategy for Civic Equality and Integration (2021-2026) to the representatives of the Council of National Minorities under PDO and other NGOs working on ethnic minority issues.
Welcome remarks were delivered by the State Minister Tea Akhvlediani and USAID/Georgia’s Democracy, Human Rights and Governance (DRG) Office Director Adam Schmidt.
Tea Akhvlediani spoke about the vision of civic equality and integration policy, priority areas, objectives, and goals. First Deputy State Minister Lia Gigauri presented the findings of the Final Assessment of the Implementation of State Strategy for Civic Equality and Integration (2015-2020). Also, the participants were introduced in detail to the draft document of the State Strategy for Civil Equality and Integration (2021-2026). Presentation was followed by a discussion, where participants expressed their views on the draft strategy.
