Training on Civic Activism and Gender Equality July 29-August 4, 2013, Georgia

United Nations Association of Georgia is soliciting applications for a Regional training on Civic Activism and Gender Equality to be held July 29-August 4, 2013 in Georgia. The event is intended to provide theory and practical skills on civic activism and gender related topics. The event will offer training courses tailored by professional trainers and sessions on planning follow-up activities.

Selected participants will be required to take part in all sessions of the trainings and, as a follow up, conduct peer to peer activities/campaigns in their respective countries/communities. Fluency in English is required.

United Nations Association of Georgia will reimburse ground transportation expenses and provide participants with accommodation and meals. Young people between the ages of 18-26 from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia with demonstrated interest in sharing experience and knowledge should apply. Applications must be received by July 15, 2013.

The event is organized in frames of the program "Confidence Building in South Caucasus” jointly implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia and the United Nations Association of Sweden with the financial support of Forum Syd/Sida.
