UNA-Georgia Arranges First Model UN Regional TOT

TOT Training for Model UN was arranged by the United Nations Association of Georgia on December 8-9, 2005, in Gudauri, Georgia. It was the first ever MUN TOT of regional importance for the participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. 12 youth representatives on behalf of the Armenian UN Association, the UN Association of Azerbaijan Initiative Group and UNA-Georgia attended the two-day training devoted to effective planning and organization of Model UN. The main objective of the event was to give young and active people all necessary skills and knowledge on how to conduct Model UNs in their home countries and regionally. Model UN is the international diplomatic game, which is the most widely used tool for peaceful and democratic problem solution among UNAs throughout the world. This event was organized by UNA-Georgia within the framework of a joint project with UNA-Sweden "Confidence Building and MDG Promotion in the South Caucasus”.</p> <p>
